The main factor influencing the size of your wedding cake is the number of guests who will be attending your event. Consider what time you’ll be serving cake as this will determine whether you feed attendees of the day ceremony and evening guests too. Some guests may also want to take home an extra slice after the event.
At Westwood Cakes, wedding cakes are available in a range of sizes and will serve any number of people from a small party to hundreds. For more information, view my portion guide.
The most popular wedding cake flavours are vanilla, chocolate and lemon but there are so many wonderful combinations of flavours available nowadays. If you already have one in mind, just ask and I’ll see what I can do. Who would have thought that the lemon & elderflower combo would be knocking on the door of the traditional favourites?

Yes, you most certainly can! If you require a tiered cake to include a sponge and a traditional fruit cake, I would recommend having the fruit cake at the base and the sponge tiers on top due to the weight of the fruit cake. Of course, this means that the base fruit cake will provide more portions however there is also an option to have a smaller traditional fruit cutting cake to be served alongside your tiered cake.

This really depends on the time of year that your wedding is taking place. The summer months are peak wedding season, so book earlier to avoid disappointment. I would advise booking at least three months in advance, though it is always worth calling to see if we have a space.
If you have already booked your wedding day, you can Save the Date to reserve the availability of Westwood Cakes for your special day. When you are happy with the design of your Wedding Cake, a deposit of £100.00 is required. This will be reduced to £50.00 if you have already paid a deposit to Save the Date; see above question for details.
All deposits are non-refundable and taken off the final balance. The deposit can be paid by cash, cheque or bank transfer.
Balances for wedding cakes are due 28 days before the agreed collection/delivery date.
